I have power and ground connected to the C94 board via my power supply, as well as an estop wired into the board. doodle jump

hey there after running my cnc plasma table for a year with a Chinese board and MACH 3, i thought it was time to upgrade so i recently purchased a C94 control board along with a UC300Eth board and have been following the steps from below (https://www.cnc4pc.com/blog/post/initial-step-by-step-wiring-and-testing-of-a-c94-mach3)

I have power and negative to the C94 board from my powersupply along with a estop plugged into the board, all lights are red then when i close the estop the output status light goes green, Next i go to plug in my ethernet cable (Iv tested with my router and computer it works) to my c94 and my laptop and zero lights come on the c94 or ethernet board... im at a lose as when i load utilityxx on my pc it says UCxx Device cant be found... any help would be helpful!
